Therapeutic Properties of Palmarosa & Petitgrain
Palmarosa is calming on the nervous system helping to relieve panic attacks and anxieties. It’s strongly antibacterial and antiviral and helps to ease eczema, sinusitis, acne and fluid retention. Petitgrain is also great for nervous exhaustion, helping to lift the spirit, strengthen self-confidence and promotes optimism. Petitgrain is also great to help ease insomnia, flatulence and nervous indigestion. It is also strongly antifungal, antioxidant and antiseptic. Together, Palmarosa and Petitgrain smell awesome.

Why Organic and Fairtrade?
Why wouldn’t we?! The fundamental philosophy of Mumanu is love, kindness and respect for nature. It makes sense then to certify our balms with the Soil Association and Fairtrade Foundation. We don’t like nasty pesticides or damaging farming practises so, the only way we can avoid them is to use certified organic products. We also want people to get a fair deal, be treated well and to ensure that communities are not taken advantage of. Using ingredients from Africa and Asia, we want to know that the people we buy from are paid well and their community get direct benefits. The Cocoa industry is rife with slavery; we don’t want to be part of that. Yes, our products are more expensive than non-organic, non-Fairtrade products but this is the real, fair price of goods… that don’t cost the earth.
